Timer - where to create?

Hi,

Having a brain freeze here.

I want to have a Timer in my application. But I'm confused as to where I should create it in the RL scheme of things.

My thoughts:

In a Model? No, that's just for storing data.
In a View? No, that should not be manipulating data.
In a Mediator? Maybe? but I need a view for that and there is nothing visible...
In a Command? No, these are just shorted lived and I need to reference it again.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Jono

Hi Jono, have a dig around and you'll find other threads asking the same.

The answer is that a timer is a Service - the explanation is in the other threads,

    Hope that helps,

Cool - I've put the Timer in a service and accessing it via commands.

    thanks.
