loadup utility percent load

Hi,
The utility does not give a very accurate feedback what is happening in term of loading. It does not give progress on the loading of a resource so if I have 4 resources to load. Three of which are very small and one being very big. The preloader will hang on 75% until the 4th resource gets loaded in. What I'd like to get is progressive load for all 4 resources instead of a jump of 25% form for each resources being loaded. Is there a way of achieving this?
